blog navigation why

From the first post (which has no previous button), click forward - click the "later post" links somewhere under each post - and you will see or visit every post until you at last arrive at the last or latest (most recent) post.

So this linear geometry makes it, shall we say, automatic, to visit every post in the blog, and thus, as necessary, any post on the blog.

It might be an exaggeration to say this is possible, regardless of the fact that it is automatic. That, it could be argued, is because of the way the next and previous links are implemented - they are off the screen and scrolling to them is surprisingly difficult. But why are these links included in such a cavalier way?
