blog navigation line

It is quite interesting to note that Blogger adds posts to a blog strictly in the order of their creation. The blog becomes, then, a kind of database in which each post, each record, has a unique and fixed location. The geometry of this arrangement is that of a line. It is possible to move to any record by in effect clicking next or previous buttons. Blogger creates these whenever it displays an individual post, labeling them "earlier post" and "later post".

Start anywhere in the blog, at any individual post - that is, a post displayed by itself on a page, not as part of a scroll - and click the "earlier post" link at the bottom of each post, and you will eventually reach the first or original post.
