hypothesis

I'll hypothesize as follow: if the right software existed, I would know it.

I believe this to be true because it is a logical assertion. It is also supported by certain kinds of evidence.

The logic of it is in part as follows: if someone were building the kind of software I envision, I would be their target demographic, and they would be making sure I know of the product and am using it. (Those are two separate issues.)

Now, it is self evidently true that software exists that can do what I want software to do for me. I mean, I'm using some of that software right here. Its limitations, relative to what I'm trying to do with it, are, however, manifest.

That, however, is not quite my point.
